Bio

I started ZNotes as a 16-year-old completing my IGCSEs, and today, it has transformed into a global student movement with hundreds of contributors reaching over 4 million learners and more than 30 million hits. An award-winning social-impact startup, we're on a mission to end educational inequality for young people everywhere by leveraging community-led content creation and peer learning to level the playing field for high-stakes, end-of-school exams. In 2021, I was honoured with the Diana Legacy Award - 'the highest accolade a young person can receive for their social and humanitarian efforts' at Althorp House and invited to meet HRH the Duke of Cambridge at Kensington Palace. I am an educational activist - the National Youth Leader for the UK at the Global Partnership for Education, advisory board member of DEFI at Cambridge University and the EY Foundation as well as a One Young World ambassador. As an SDG advocate, I have been published and spoken internationally including at the 74th UN General Assembly, ITU Regional Innovation Forum and the TEDx stage. I graduated in 2020 amidst the pandemic with a First-class Honours Master's in Mathematics with a special interest in mathematical modelling and algebraic topology. My dissertation involved working in collaboration with Dstl and the Forensic Science Unit at UCL to develop a persistence-decay model for trace-residue. With my learnings at ZNotes, I propose and am keen to implement a peer-based and community-led learning model in governmental educational reform strategies to ensure equitable quality education is available to all, especially in globally underresourced education systems. Aside from all this, I am a huge outdoors person - a triathlete, marathon runner, inline and figure skater and can sometimes be found jumping in the River Cam at close to freezing temperatures. If any bit of that sounds interesting or I can help in some way, drop me a note! [For speaker enquiries, please send an email to pr@znotes.org]
